Really pretty, but... widgets will not add.
Am using this in MAMP on my Powerbook G4 Mac OSX 1.3.9 with WordPress 3.0 RC. so not online. to try to design a photo site to sell my photos.
would also like to restyle the Header (font) but... really don't want to mess with your style CSS without some clue.
I use Dreamweaver for editing.

Administrator's picture
Administrator on June 7th, 2010

Rene, we didn't test it on WP 3RC yet. The problem may occur due to empty widget title. We always use titles because in the mobile view all the widgets are placed inside the expandable blocks with the corresponding titles. Try to place " " instead. If it won't work you're welcome to provide us with the database dump or its excerpt for the investigation.

Great theme! I'm no design expert so it may be there, but is it possible to add buttons such as a "Subscribe on iTunes" button to the sidebar?

Administrator's picture

Thanks! Sure, you may add any link by adding text widget with your HTML code - probably an icon linked to itpc://...

I'd like to add a graphic logo instead of the text option. How to do it?

Administrator's picture
Administrator on October 31st, 2010

You should upload the logo image into the images folder and update the desktop and mobile CSS accordingly. If the logo is wider than 320 pixels, use different logo images for desktop and mobile versions. You may also submit customization request for updating your theme. Good luck!

Would be even better if you could use WordPress 3 menus...

Administrator's picture
Administrator on December 1st, 2010

Thanks for the feedback! You're absolutely right, it would work better with WP3 features enabled. It's sad but the new version of Mobius fully compatible with WP3 is on hold due to lack of resources. Your donations may bring it to live ;-)

This looks like a great theme but I'm using a mobile switcher plugin (MobilePress) that requires mobile themes to be uploaded to a separate folder than theme. When activating Mobius under this structure, I can't seem to find the mobius options admin panel. Suggestions?

However, when I view it on my android phone, it does not resize properly. When I view it on my ipod touch, it does, but never resizes the videos. How can I fix this?

I'm using your theme on wordpress 3.0.4. Since 01.01.2011 date inside the post is wrong. When you click on a post, the date of all posts inside is 01.01.2011. Everything is on on the front page.
I tried default theme and the date is correct.

Mobius is a great theme. I have applied it to several sites and using QR code to activate the mobile phone version. Both versions look great. It has been the best combination that I have found. The technical response from MobilizeToday.com has been top notch!

Hello there.
I just installed Mobius and found that the header was too large for the screen. I edited the stylesheet from 65px to 25px and got the message: The requested theme does not exist.
Although the modification was saved, the smaller font size was not implemented.
Any suggestions?

Ryan C's picture
Ryan C on March 13th, 2011

If I try to make any changes at all to the CSS I get The requested theme does not exist.

I googled around and I found that this may be because in the style.css it says /*
Theme Name: Möbius

I tried downloading the style.css and changing it to Mobius or Mbius or just removing the & or the ; and I get the same error each time, Help!

Ryan C's picture
Ryan C on March 15th, 2011

when I try and edit the CSS It tells me the theme does not exist. The name has an & and some other characters in it in the css file. Please help

Administrator's picture
Administrator on March 22nd, 2011

Ryan, this is due to umlaut in the theme name. The simplest way to resolve this issue - do the necessary updates in style.css and upload it directly by FTP.

Hello, when I embed a youtube video, the mobile theme does not scale the video thumbnail to a mobile screen size. It looks like the desktop sized thumbnail is being used when site is viewed on a mobile device. Can this be fixed?

According to your post on October 31st, 2010, saying: "You should upload the logo image into the images folder and update the desktop and mobile CSS accordingly. If the logo is wider than 320 pixels, use different logo images for desktop and mobile versions." checked desktop and mobile css files but couldnt see anything related to header. Can you give me some hints about changing header text to logo picture?

Thanks in advance.

Is there any other way than changing the default style.css ?

changed your excellent youtube script to make it a little easier, all you have to do is set the varaible 'video' to the Youtube id.
WORKS GREAT - thanks!

hi i want to install your theme in my blog because it seems really pretty, croosover and modifiable css-level. What is not really clear in the comments is if detect and change automatically depending the visitor's platform or is necessary to install some plugin as wordpress mobile pack?

Would you like to express yourself?
